The patina and texture of this piece come from my build/deconstruct process of painting many layers in a variety of colors. The final image emerged after I was inspired while exploring ruins. Two Indian Rollers kept flying overhead telling me, "Get on with it! The clock is ticking."

Built around 1311 A.D., it is one of the more significant remaining archeological sites along the coast. This piece reflects how the natural elements and the passage of time affect the textures and mood of the scene.
